Shaker Windsor Chairs

Elegance and simplicity defines Shaker’s iconic furniture. If the Shaker’s where an active community today, they would have been integral in North America. Unfortunately, the Shaker’s were celibate, if this wasn’t part of their faith then I think the Shaker’s would have been a thriving community. Known for their simplistic, unadorned furniture, they were also innovative and hardworking. Their moto was “hearts to go and hands to work”. I appreciate the simplistic, functional furniture the Shaker’s made for the community and for the public. I respect the traditional joinery and make all my furniture using the time tested joinery.
